What’s in a name?

Deciding what to name the company was perhaps one of the hardest tasks to accomplish in my journey to begin my business.  For years, I have worked to be disciplined in my goal setting.  Some days, weeks, months, years achieving more steps backwards than forwards but always learning along the way.  I haven’t always known where my steps would take me but I knew I must just DO!  Do by definition is an action: “to perform; to execute, to come to pass, to carry out”.  Without action we are just static.  We must think, reflect, plan, strategize and sometimes, we must simply DO!

Our Philosophy

Learning and development isn’t a one time event but rather an ongoing process.  Individuals are unique; as are companies, each with a unique set of needs necessary for growth.  Do! Learning & Development is centered around the belief that one size does not fit all and one training solution isn’t right for everyone.

All businesses are special in many ways and their L&D needs are only part of the equation. Most business owners are so busy running the business that development often falls to the bottom of their list of many priorities. The reality is that well trained employees are more engaged and when they are more engaged, they perform better. Higher performance equals better results.  Additionally, many business owners don’t take the time to improve and enhance their own skills or examine the job expectations of their employees within the company they work so hard to make a success.

Focusing on companies, groups and individuals who do not have or need a full time Learning & Development professional, I take the time to get to know you and your business and make recommendations that are developed with your goals in mind. I listen first.

Lynne Ryan, Owner

Passionate about people development. Dedicated to results. 

For over 20 years, Lynne has been developing successful teams to reach their full potential.  With experience in banking, nonprofit organizations, marketing, advertising, and retail industries, Lynne has a strong understanding of what is needed when developing people.  She has managed small teams, a retail banking branch network and also regional training programs. She has coached staff from entry level to executive management teams and individuals.

Lynne’s passion for people development is evident in the success people she works with have achieved.  Her goal is always to improve teams and processes by taking an individual approach to each situation. Her strength lies in understanding just what is needed in each case.  She is known for her creativity and ability to generate ideas, execute, and produce results.  Understanding the challenges of managing and motivating people, Lynne has the ability to adapt and connect to people and guide them to attain their professional and personal goals.

Formal education includes a degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Registered Corporate Coaching certification, Insights® Discovery  Licensed Practitioner, as well as many developmental training programs.

Lynne was raised in Minnesota and lived much of her life in Texas before returning to Minnesota.  She is married with three daughters, two stepsons, and a blue nose pit bull.  She is a fitness enthusiast, avid hiker, and enjoys time with family and friends.
